With the mindset of 15 minutes early, I actually is ahead by 45 minutes to 1 hour. Being ahead of time is such a motivating factor.
That is the best way to fight procrastination. Be ahead of time. Be a time rich person. By being 15 minutes early I am ahead for 45 minutes to 1 hour. This is the compounding effect. In addition I am hooked to being early rather than being late. I look forward to save time rather than dragging time and wasting it away.
Still, time is my cash. Hot damn, I have more time by being ahead. Now I know that there is quality time and wasted time.
I should not waste time, I only have 24 hours a day. When that is gone, its gone. In a way I am as rich as Bill Gates. What counts like money, is how you use your time. While we use money to buy things, we use time to buy experience.
A 3 years experience can be 1+1+1; where each year is unique or it could be 1x3 whereby there is no compounding effect at all.
I never thought of it this way before, while Bill Gates can buy more things with his money, he can only buy ONE Bill Gates experience 1 minute at a time. Both Bill and I can have enriching experience regardless how much money in our pocket.
I can have a great time doing 1 hour walk at my housing area park. So is Bill. Experience is intrinsic while things are extrinsic. Hence a rich or a poor experience is based on the state of mind of the person. Compounded that with the time at hand, you can have a heavenly experience of a so so one at any given moment.
As we speak, I am already on my way to my 1 hour morning walk, 45 minutes ahead of my usual scheduled time. Better, early than late.
